There they were! I only had to find someone that spoke some English. Easier said than done. 🙂 As it turned out this group of folks was from Burma. As I spoke to Po Lan, I found out they were Karen and had come from Burma and relocated here in Carrborro, NC. Although discussion was limited it was good to give the gospel to him and leave him with some literature.
I am in Carrborro, NC with Calvary Baptist Church and Pastor Gary Webb this coming week for a Missions Conference. Since my wife was unable to travel with me I thought I would go out and find some folks to witness to. At the park nearby I Po Lan and his family and friends.
I would not have known what people group they were from had it not been for the family in the Lehigh Valley that our church helped sponsor into the country. The characteristics were the same, so they were easily identified. And they loved the fact that an American knew their people group. 🙂
There are people all around that are looking for a friendly face and someone to point them to Jesus Christ. Are you actively praying and seeking those opportunities?
