As we entered the yard for a service this Sunday morning…the chickens scattered and the birds were chirping. The folks had prepared a room for this first Sunday service they had ever hosted at their house. The room (pic above) was a 12ft. x 12ft concrete room with a tin roof. About 12 Africans joined us as 9 Americans (pic above) came for this service. David, George’s disciple, did the preaching in Tsonga. His native language is Sotho, so it was a learning experience for him as well. We listened as he preached and I was able to follow along because I knew the subject matter – repentance – and was able to follow the passages he was referencing. The roosters crowed, the birds sang, the roof cracked as the sun heated it up, and the preaching was delivered. The folks were engaged and listening intently. Good comments at the end indicated the preaching hit the mark and George is anticipating what the Lord is doing at the village of Phalaborwa. We had a great time! (Below is a pic from the outside) Next week if all goes well we will be in Francistown for a service.
